Karachi:November 11:The Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS) has expressed displeasure over efforts being made by the varsity’s finance director Tariq Kaleem to rejoin the University of Karachi.
The reservations were raised at the executive council’s meeting on Thursday presided by acting president, Dr Maqsood Ansari. The meeting saw outgoing KUTS Secretary KUTS Dr Moiz Khan stress on the issue stating that the present finance director had been termed ‘unacceptable’ in the meeting held by the general body in August.
Later, Dr Ansari and Dr Khan met with KU Vice Chancellor Dr Muhamamad Qaiser and warned of boycotting academic sessions and examinations if Kaleem was allowed to make a comeback in the varsity's management hierarchy.
Earlier in August, KUTS had staged protests against non-payment of salaries and demanded action against the director finance, who had been kept away from his duties following the demonstrations. The news.
