Karachi:November 28:Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq distributed offer letters among 292 lecturers here on Sunday.
A total of 829 lecturers, including 309 women, have been selected by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC).
Speaking on the occasion, Pir Mazhar said teachers had to go a long way in improving the academic standards.
He claimed the government had eradicated the culture of `Sifarish’ and all the lecturers were recruited on the basis of merit. “With education, we can face the challenges confronting us.”
The minister said that seminars were being organised at district level to raise awareness about the significance of education. He also announced establishing 23 new colleges.
He said the allowances of teachers in urban and rural areas had been made equal, and residential and transport facilities had been given to them.The news.
