Anjuman Taraqqi-e-Urdu gets annual grant cheque from KMC
Karachi:December 29:The Anjuman Taraqqi-e-Urdu was awarded an annual grant cheque by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on Wednesday in recognition of its services for the Urdu language and literature.
The cheque was received by the organisation’s secretary, Syed Azfar Rizvi. Handing over the cheque, Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed appreciated the services of the organisation in the fields of education, literature and culture. He said that, in light of the institution’s performance, the KMC had decided to extend all possible support to it so that such literary and educational institutions continued to play an effective role in the progress of the city. The administrator also assured Rizvi of cooperation in the renovation of the institution’s building, which is located on Baba-e-Urdu Road.The news.
