IBA passed teachers to be confirmed soon'

Karachi: 01 February: Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq has said that the IBA test passed teachers should not pay attention to rumours at all and perform their duties regularly. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he indicated that the Sindh government had decided to confirm them as promised earlier and that they will be confirmed soon through an ordinance. He said he had issued directives to the Secretary Education and Director Schools not to stop any teacher from performing duties and if any officer of the education department is found stopping any teacher, strict action would be taken against him. Haq directed all IBA test passed teachers to continue their duties and contact him directly if they were not allowed to perform their duties. He said the bill for the confirmation of IBA passed teachers could not be presented in Sindh Assembly because the house was prorogued. "However, the same bill had been sent to the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah as an ordinance for his approval and later it would be sent for Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan's approval after which, the teachers would be confirmed", he concluded.
