Inter Arts (Private) results announced

Karachi: 21Oct:Controller of Examinations, BIEK, Muhammad Imran Khan Chishti said that 141,108 candidates registered and 13, 335 students appeared in the Humanities (Private) Group Annual Examinations, 2011.

As many as 6, 379 candidates were declared passed and the overall pass percentage was 47.84. At least 6, 708 male students registered and 6, 221 candidates appeared in the said exams of which 3, 118 students passed the exams. The overall pass percentage was 50.12.

Furthermore, 7, 400 female candidates registered and 7, 114 students appeared in the exams and 3, 261 were declared passed. The overall pass percentage was 45.84.

According to the gazette, only one female student got A-One grade, 34 male and 65 female candidates got A Grade in the exams. Moreover, 204 male and 540 female students passed the exams with B grade, 1, 435 male and 1, 487 female managed to get C grade and 1, 318 male and 1, 082 female got D grade while 127 male and 86 female received E grade in the result.

Madhia bearing roll number 861965 secured overall first position with 888 marks and 80.72 percentage. Shah Jhan Saleem having roll number 831015 got second position with 867 marks and 78.81 per cent and Asma Hussain, bearing roll number 861597, obtained third position with 845 marks and 76.81 percentage.

These position holders were not present during the ceremony, on the other hand, 10, 414 students registered and 10, 201 candidates appeared in the HSC Part-II Annual Examinations-2011 of the Humanities (Regular) Group. Of which 4, 423 students were declared passed and the overall pass percentage was 43.36.

In the same group, 1, 164 male candidates were registered and 1, 127 students appeared in the exams and 403 candidates passed their exams. The overall pass percentage was 35.76.

Meanwhile, 9, 250 female students registered and 9, 074 candidates appeared while 4, 020 students were declared passed. The overall pass percentage was 44.30.

Amna Urooj of the PECHS Government College for Women, bearing roll number 736504, clinched the overall first position with 913 marks and 83 per cent, another student of the PECHS Government College for Women Anam Fatima, bearing roll number 736526, bagged second position with 878 marks and 79.81per cent whereas the third position was also secured by the same college and Sana Sohail, having roll number 736505 got 877 marks and 79.72 per cent.

The position holders criticised that load shedding had disturbed their studies. Amna Urooj asked for changes in the syllabus and said that most of the chapters should be updated without any delay.

Anam Fatima said that she was an active student at the college and also participated in sports activities other than giving due time to her studies. Sana Sohail said that sometimes rote-learning could not be ignored and student use this option to get maximum marks in the exams.

Chairman BIEK, Anwar Ahmed Zai said that in the past, regular and unsuccessful students (who failed to clear their papers in the first attempt) solve different papers in the exams but now they would get the same paper.The news.
