KARACHI (NNI): Senior Minister for Education & Literacy Pir Mazharul Haq has urged upon the young students to play their due role to root out the troubles and improve the society. This he said while addressing at All Karachi ICMAP Bilingual Declamation Contest IBDC 2011”organized by the ICMAP, Corporate Relations Department at its city Campus here on Wednesday.The Senior Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq said that corruption like a cancer and spreading rapidly in our society, for ending this menace, all we should play our individual role, but first we should accountable our own actions and attitudes, so we should resolve the same. To root out corruption, promote our education standard on modern lines, and every individual could play important role in change of anything, starts from our own. Illiteracy not knowledge of words or numbers, persons should be well aware and would be able to understand, all problems could be resolved automatically. Senior Education Minister further said that they are future builders of the country, to promote and project such healthy activities like debate and speech contests, the Government would provide all possible help and support to them. He said that the government through Endowment fund, provided 700 scholarships to 16 educational institutions for higher education and recruited 14000 teachers on merit throughout sources system without any political considerations and involvements, for the first time in the history of the country, we far away the politics in education sector, for which the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and coalition partners are helped him to fulfill the task successfully. He also said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had started loan facility to youths upto Rs 2 lacs, we would also encouraged the policy if ICMAP would bring working paper for the benefits and betterment of the young students for loan and other required facilities. He announced that he would approach the FBR Chairman for exemption of GST on software and other technology equipment so that our young students could get such facilities.Earlier Vice President ICMAP Muhammad Hanif Ajvari, Director Corporate Relations Department Mr. Muhammad Kamran Jamil also spoke and apprised the Minister Education about the aims and objectives of the contest, institute other matters related to students facilities and highlighted the education and people friendly policies and policies of the present elected government.F.P.Report.
