Seminary students nab teacher’s would-be assailants

KARACHI: The students of a seminary got hold of two men who allegedly tried to kill their teacher here in the precincts of Manghopir police station on Monday. According to police, five armed men reached Jamia Islamia Badar-ul-Uloom, situated in Sultanabad Sector 3 and requested to see Maulana Ahmed Khan Jajervi, chief cleric of the seminary. However, the students sensed the danger and inquired the purpose of meeting on which three of the attackers eloped. They (students) nabbed two alleged attackers and handed them over to the Sindh Rangers. SHO Manghopir Jahangir Maher when contacted said that the Sindh Rangers were yet to hand over the culprits to police for the commencement of legal proceedings.Daily Times.
