Pharm-D Deficiency programme on offer

Karachi:A spokesman from the University of Karachi (KU) stated that the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy has invited applications for admission to the one-year Pharm-D, Deficiency course programme (Morning and Evening). Forms are available till March 15th, on payment from a UBL Booth at the Silver Jubilee Gate, KU. Students eligible for the programme must have attained a B-Pharm degree from KU.

Ten Days Workshop at KU: A ten-day workshop titled, “Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Political Science” is being organised from March 9th, 2010.

The inaugural session will be held on 9th March at 3pm at the Audio Visual Room, Department of Political Science, KU. Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahana Urooj Kazmi will preside over the event.

Seminar at the Centre of Excellence for Women’s Studies at KU: The Centre of Excellence for Women’s Studies (CEWS), KU, is organising a one-day seminar titled, “Towards Self Reliance: The Role of Self Employed Women of Pakistan” today from 10am to 4pm at the Arts Auditorium, KU.

Prof. Dr Shahana Urooj Kazmi, Acting Vice Chancellor, KU will preside over the seminar, and Information Technology Minister Raza Haroon will be the chief guest. “Selected research papers related to self-employed women will be presented in the seminar,” a KU spokesperson said.
