Liaquat University Hyderabad students clash
Hyderabad: Two medical students suffered injuries in a clash between two groups of activists belonging to student organisations at a canteen at the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences on Wednesday.
The groups were just joking away their time when a group took offence at some remarks and vented its anger. They exchanged hot words and later clashed using motorcycle chains as their weapons.
Mukhtiar Wassan and Imran Leghari suffered injuries and were taken to Jamshoro branch of the university's hospital.
Police have registered an FIR on a complaint lodged by a student against eight accused. Police surrounded hostels to avert further clashes. The situation at the campus remains tense. Dawn
