The SHO of the police station concerned said that the deceased had an MBA degree from the Hamdard University and he had been jobless for the last three to four years. The deceased had a dispute with his parents on Sunday evening and he reportedly locked himself in a room and committed suicide. On Monday morning, when he did not open the door, the family members broke open the door and found him dead in the room.

Meanwhile, Ghulam Mohammed, 55, was gunned down by armed assailants inside his estate agency in Jangal Goth in Gulshan-i-Maymar police limits. Police said that the deceased was owner of Al-Asr Estate Agency and a resident of Rado City, Gulistan-i-Jauhar. The attacker fled.

In a separate case, bullet-riddled body of Rab Nawaz, 25, was found in the Shanti Nagar area in the Aziz Bhatti police limits. The deceased was a resident of Mujahid Colony, Shanti Nagar. The area residents blocked the Dalmia Road in protest against the killing and pelted passing vehicles with stones. They demanded of the authorities concerned to arrest the killers.
