Condolence Meeting over the Demise of Ku Students of in the Plane Crash

"This incident is a national tragedy and is unforgettable in which a large number of people lost their precious lives. The University had also faced the loss of its two meticulous students who were working tirelessly in search of their bright future careers; they were busy in making their dreams come true. They were dynamic, and their dynamism was directed towards the right path, but no one can supersede the God's will. The entire University prays for their eternal bliss." said the Vice Chancellor. Prof. Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui while addressing to the condolence meeting organized on July 29th 2010 at the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat to condole over the loss of 152 precious lives and especially over the meticulous students of the varsity. The meeting was attended by al the Deans. Chairperson and Teachers of Departments of Mass Communication and Geography. Student's Advisor. Registrar and other members of university administration. The Registrar informed the participants that two alumni of KU has also died in the catastrophic incident, one of them was a newly married bride — Aysha Samad Sheikh, who was a position holder of her time and the other one was Rehmat-ullah Domld. who died with his whole family. The participants of the meeting said that crash of Air Blue flight 202 on 28th July 2010 is the most terrible incident of plane crash in the history of Pakistan and the loss of 146 passengers and 6 members of the crew is an unforgettable loss. Two students of Karachi University have also lost their lives in the incident. Piyar AU who. after graduating from Geography, took admission in Master in Mass Communication and Bilal Nasir was completing his BS (Honors) from the Department of Mass Communication.
