Karachi:An investigation officer whom the Judicial Magistrate of South had ordered to appear in the court on Friday and submit the charge sheet in the case of protesting SPLA teachers failed to turn up in the court.
The judicial magistrate, Nadeem Badr Qazi, had on Thursday rejected the charge sheet submitted by the investigation officer, Malik Raees Ahmed, because he had done that without the approval of the SP and other senior police officers.
The magistrate had ordered the investigation officer to submit the charge sheet again on Friday, but the investigation officer did not turn up.
The magistrate took exception to the absence of the IO and directed him to appear in the court on April 24 along with the charge sheet and an explanation why he did not appear in the court on the requisite date.
According to the case, some 30 SPLA demonstrators were arrested when they were marching towards the Sindh Chief Minister’s House to stage a sit-in there for acceptance of their demands. The news
