Karachi:Enrolment in the universities of Sindh has increased considerably during the past several years, claimed Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan on Friday.
Ebad, who is also the chancellor of public-sector universities in the province, added that there had also been an improvement in the research and teaching infrastructure, according to a press release issued from the Governor’s House.
He said that the faculty and students should utilise these facilities for the promotion of education and research activities. The governor also stressed that the academic atmosphere at the campuses should also be made conducive for the acquisition of knowledge.
Meanwhile, he also performed the inauguration of buildings of three departments at the NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi. The buildings were of the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, Department of Polymer and Petrochemical Engineering and of the Department of Chemical Engineering. Ebad said that maintaining the law and order situation and promoting education were two top priority issues for the government.The news
